ALL THE BULLSHIT THAT'S FIT TO PRINT: New York Daily News reporter Paul Colford, writing in the Columbia Journalism Review, says that in his recent experience of covering woes at the New York Times he's come across all sorts of humorously inaccurate disinformation- most ludicrously, a report earlier this year that Howell Raines was about to be fired as executive editor- and replaced by Thomas Friedman!
There was, of course, nothing to the story; Friedman, to the best of my knowledge, hasn't been an editor since working on The Echo (like I did) back at St. Louis Park High School.
