When I watch this convention -- and, to a lesser extent, parts of the DNC -- I can't help but think of Chris Rock:
You'd got a baseball game, or a football game, basketball game, "USA! USA! USA!" Hey, calm down! Got a little German on it, don't you think?
Curse you wiki quote, haven of mispellings!
I have decided to start a blog. Only for tonight and confined to this comments section.
Only now is the genius of Obama's selection of Invesco field becoming fully apparent to me. The huge cross section of America -- too big to be a microcosm, maybe a minicosm? -- stands out in stark contrast to the homogeneous, relatively subdued crowd listening to Sarah Palin right now.
Oops, I took too long on that last comment. The speech is over. How the hell do you livebloggers do it? I quit.
I did like the part where Palin said how she would contribute her expertise as part of McCain's whitehouse staff.
Did I miss that part?
