Comments: You're Fired

I'll drink up all the Jill Hennessy you got on your shelf...

It was the weakest, most pointless, least impactful curveball ever.

"Is it because I'm a lesbian?"
"No"
"Good"

I almost choked laughing.

From the IM convo you and I had last night, I thought there was some emotional tribute to Briscoe on last night's ep. That was it? She's a lesbian? Yawn.

I kind of liked her when she was on Angel (she played a cop). It was a much juicier character--there was actual depth and motivation and emotion, as opposed to just dealing with cases.

For someone who hates that woman, that's a pretty big picture of her...

Jill Hennessy/Claire Kincaid was awesome, she set the bar pretty high. Carey Lowell/Jamie Ross was annoying and completely failed to clear that bar. What a nag. Angie Harmon/Abbie Carmichael's hardass spin on the role was fun, but she's gorgeous and I wear my Texas bias on my sleeve. Elizabeth Rohm/Serena Southerlyn was one cold, boring fish by comparison. Seems like there's a pattern here.

I read a depressing rumor that it was all foreshadowing for an unlawful termination suit episode. (Might as well have her sue the audience for just not liking her.) Seems best to just make her go away and get somebody new and enjoyable again.

They definitely set up for her to return. Maybe when she sues the office, she'll be represented by Paul Robinette.

I missed the episode and im glad I did.
It appeared to me she just ran off the lines as though she had just learned them

Touche'

I've been looking around to see if anyone else on the planet thought that that was a ridiculously horrid ending.

my wife exclaimed, then came down to tell me that i missed one of the dumbest things she's witnessed on TV.

she PVR'd it, so i watched the last 2 minutes as i woke up this morning--still groggy, so it seemed even more surreal how badly acted that was.

"good, good".

I demand that Rohm return for some cameos next season!! Preferably, with some hot girl-on-girl action!

(Sorry.)

And I might catch some heat for this, buuut... I've NEVER understood the Jill Hennessey fascination among L&O fans. To call her portrayal wooden is an insult to 2x4s. Diff'rent strokes, for diff'rent folks, I suppose.

Krybo, I wouldn't rip into Jill Hennesey as Claire to the same extent you do, but I also don't think she was anything spectacular (although the surrogate father-daughter type rapport between her and Lennie in the last few hours of her life was, and I don't think it was overdone). As for the hot girl-on-girl action, I vote for Diane Neal's Casey Novak on SVU. ;-)

OK, getting back to realtive seriousness, unlike Betsy, I always really Carrie Lowell as Jamie Ross: she was an experienced attorney with a previous career that had shaped her attitudes, not just another new ADA. But Angie Harmon's Abbie was a real delight, just chewing up the scenery. I'd hoped we'd still see some of her occasionally whenever they had to do something with the feds, but I haven't been watching as much in the past few seasons, so did we?

I think ADA Abbie Carmicheal was one of the greatest ADA's!! The second on my list would be ADA Jamie Ross. ADA Claire Kincaid, I never liked her. The new ADA, ADA Borgia, is at the top of my list too. She is tough and smart. She can be on her own. I hate that she has to work with McCoy. Why don't they let her be the only prosecutor like on Law and Order: SVU.

Do you know that this is high time to receive the loan, which would make your dreams come true.
