Comments: Boston to New York

I was starting to think (like everyone) that this race was going to be a Spitzer blowout, but Weld has a very good shot. People "misunderestimate" him in the same way if not for the same caraictured reasons as the George W. Bush: if the president is a dumb cowboy hick, then Bill Weld is supposed to be a dumb Brahmin twit. He's not, and unlike Pataki, I also think he'd actually have both the drive and the ability to get things done. Hell, he managed to push most of his stuff through the state legislature here, and it was FAR more stacked against him even than New York's would be.

I like Weld quite a lot, and always have: a victory on his part--if it meant working in his office--might even be able to get me to move to Albany (well, it's better than Tallahassee as state capitals go, if only because it's sorta'-kinda' closer to other places).
