Comments: Quote of the Day

"If my party can look at Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and George W. Bush side by side, and decide Bush is the bad guy, then no, they don't deserve to be in power."

I agree. As someone whose father worked for the government during the Kennedy administration, I have become increasingly disturbed by the lack of substance and sober-mindedness in the current Democratic Party. There are certain political realities in being the minority party, but blind opposition and unrelenting hyperbolic demagoguery are not only ineffective as a longterm strategy to reclaim the majority, they also are potentially harmful to the country. My father would shudder if he saw what passes for progressive "liberalism" today.

Unfortunately, George Soros, DailyKos and Moveon have become the voice of the democratic party.

Democratic voters handicapped by a weak field of candidates in the last presidential election picked the one guy they thought could not only hold up leftist bona fides, but could pass muster in flyover country as a "war hero" and was thus electable.

Although I am a Republican, and disagree with more than just the far left of the Democratic party I do not see this as good for the country.

It is up to you and other democrats to take back your party.
