HEY YA!: Outkast has swept this year's Village Voice Pazz & Jop music critics poll, grabbing the #1 spot on both the single and album lists. I maintain my original position that "Speakerboxx/The Love Below" is enjoyable, yet overrated, as it's saturated with filler and inferior to Outkast's previous work. But regardless, "Hey Ya!" is unquestionably the best single of the year, and possibly of the decade.
The White Stripes, Fountains of Wayne, Radiohead, and The Yeah Yeah Yeahs round out the top five on the album side; once I've read the whole thing, I'll be back with the best (and worst) critic quotes.
