"OFFICE" POLITICS: I recently discovered the popular British sitcom "The Office"- and yes, it's as great as everyone says. While I've only seen the first of the two seasons, I've already got the second season DVD release (April 20) circled on my calendar. And in the "Which Office character are you" quiz I am, of course, Finchy.
Now comes word that an American remake is in the planning stages, to air on NBC as soon as this fall. Steve Carrell of "The Daily Show" is set to star in the David Brent role, with Rainn Wilson (Arthur from "Six Feet Under") in an undisclosed supporting role. I'll give it a chance, 'cause it has to be better than "Coupling," though I'm not getting my hopes up.
