"K STREET" GETS KANCELLED: HBO

"K STREET" GETS KANCELLED: HBO announced last week that it has "mutually agreed" with Steven Soderbergh's Section Eight films to put an end to the political pseudo-reality show "K Street," which finished its one and only season last month. The show, a reality/fiction hybrid about a lobbying firm in Washington, starred James Carville and Mary Matalin as themselves, along with a cast of actors and various senators and congressmen.
I always thought "K Street" was interesting, albeit insider-ish, and of no interest whatsoever to anyone who's not a political junkie. But it got really weird at the end- with subplots involving dead hookers and federal investigations of the firm- and it all added up to a continuation of Soderbergh's career slump ("Full Frontal," "Solaris," and now this).
So I'm about ready for more "Sopranos," how 'bout you?
