TAXIDERMY AND CHEESE: After a

TAXIDERMY AND CHEESE: After a mostly banner year, Minnesota sports teams seem to be in a slump of late, with the Wolves and Wild both flirting with .500 after losing games that I went to last week, and the Vikings getting blown out by the Rams on Sunday. But better us than Wisconsin- while the Packers lost on Thanksgiving to the sorry, no account Detroit Lions, the Brewers seem on the verge of a franchise implosion, brought on by the rare combination of shady financial dealings and fiscal mismanagement, both committed by Bud Selig through his daughter Wendy.
And worst of all, I heard a caller on KFAN say last week that he saw a local newspaper in Eau Claire, Wisconsin in which local kids were asked to share what they are thankful for this Thanksgiving. Of the ten children interviewed, three chose their families, and the other seven chose the Packers, including one boy who declared that "I am thankful for Brett Favre, because without him we are nothing." Yea, and you're not much with him either, you cheese-eating surrender cheeseheads.
That's the sort of praise I'm used to hearing athletes give to Jesus- or Doug Christie give to Jackie.
