AND SPEAKING OF PIRACY: Damn,

AND SPEAKING OF PIRACY: Damn, that Mike Piazza just can't seem to catch a break. First he got hit in the head by Roger Clemens, then had a bat thrown at him (also by Clemens), then the Mets started sucking, then the whole gay thing happened, and then this year he got hurt and missed most of the season. But now Mike is caught up in yet another scandal- the Mets catcher appeared on a Q104.3 radio show last Friday night and played a new song that someone sent him in the mail- that just happened to be a new track by Guns 'n' Roses, called "I.R.S." The track, however, turned out to not be authorized, and the band's lawyers filed a cease-and-desist order to prevent further playing of the single.
"I.R.S." will presumably appear on the album "Chinese Democracy," which has been delayed for at least half a decade. The new Axl project is not to be confused with the planned album by Velvet Revolver, a band that combines several former Guns members (led by Slash) with ex-Stone Temple Pilots frontman Scott Weiland. They've got a chance to be the second-best band to ever feature Slash, and also the second-best band whose name starts with "Velvet."
It's not like it matters anyway- Piazza made his major league debut in 1992, and G 'n' R hasn't been relevant since before that.
