THE WORM TURNS: The person at least partially responsible for spreading the Blaster computer virus that caused millions of dollars worth of damage to computers worldwide turned out to be an 18-year-old high school senior from the Minneapolis suburbs, according to prosecutors.
Jeffrey Lee Parson, who maintains his innocense, is (or rather, was) a senior at Hopkins High School, which was and is a bitter rival of my alma mater, St. Louis Park. Yea, Hopkins was always better at football and basketball than we were, but I guess SLP gets the last laugh: we gifted Thomas Friedman, the Coen Brothers, and Peter Himmelman onto the world, whereas Hopkins gave us Jeffrey Lee Parson.
