WINNING THE CUP: University of Georgia President Michael Adams, decrying the influence of school boosters trying to prevent him from firing Athletic Director Vince Dooley, referred to "a small element of athletic supporters." Adams fails to realize that when it comes to fielding a winning team at the college level, athletic supporters (both kinds) are an absolutely necessity.
