JACKASS NATION: When the "Jackass" feature film came out last fall I wrote up this brief review for Blogcritics; I didn't think of it again until yesterday, when I got a WebAsk search that asked the interesting question of "What is the Ideology of Jackass the Movie"? Hmm, good question. In Intro to Film freshman year I remember an hour-long argument over whether "Star Trek" was liberal or conservative, I could imagine a similar debate is possible over "Jackass."
Then, today, a comment showed up on that same "Jackass" review of mine. Not sure if it was from the same guy who did the search, but it read as follows:
The stars of this movie are the most vile, depraved human beings I've ever seen. I have no doubt they are all homosexuals. That goes without question. Yuck!
Well, that's one ideology...
