Bernard Kerik is out as nominee for Homeland Security secretary, due to a "Zoe Baird problem"- i.e., he employed an immigrant nanny illegally, and failed to pay taxes on her. You know, by this point, wouldn't everyone in politics know not to do that?
I'm a Kerik fan, but I'm not entirely certain he was qualified for the job anyway.

That is, if you've got a decent salary, and you live close enough to Mexico it's pretty easy getting yourself a great nanny/cook for real cheap (legal or illegal)
That doesn't make it right, but in that situation I doubt you would think to yourself "hey, what if I ever run for public office?"
Look into GW's "help" history from Texas, surely you'll find a few illegals
