Quote of the Day

: Howard Stern got a new ruling from the lawyers this morning: No long farts. Short farts are OK. Fart sounds made with the mouth (or, I assume, armpit) are apparently OK. But long farts from the fart factory are now feared to be illegal. Yes, this is why mankind invented the law and broadcast technology: to argue about the the legal length of a fart.

Yes, big government and bureaucracy hard at work. The funny thing is that someone actually sat at a desk and thought that ruling up. Even worse is that it flew across several of his superior's desks, and they passed it through without blinking an eye. That ruling probably took weeks to wind its way through the FCC or whatever law firm it was disseminated from.

I am all for the whole family values and no indecency thing (ya, I don't wanna see nude women on network TV, but cable and such is fair game, to a point), but this is ridiculous.

When we have people over, a great drinking game is to watch Stern's show on Comedy Central and drink shots every time one of his guests loses her shirt or is pictured topless (always digitally blotted out, by the way). I am not Stern's biggest fan, but he is pretty harmless. If your kids are watching it or listening to him, I would have to wonder about your parenting skills.
