Figuring that that plain old "campaigning" stuff wasn't working so well in his bid to unseat New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg, Democratic nominee Freddy Ferrer has apparently decided to try an alternate tack: gay porn. It's all in a new, last-minute Ferrer ad in which animated versions of Bloomberg and President Bush ride a horse together, with the mayor sitting on the president's lap and handing him money, until, well... Here's the New York Post's description:
Bloomberg's right hand, which holds a wad of cash, moves up and down in a rhythmic motion below Bush's belt, as a grin crosses the president's face, and his arms and legs quiver momentarily." Ah, yes, the money shot. Bloomberg's campaign alleges that the "commercial clearly shows the mayor performing a sex act on Bush.And at the end, Bush kisses him. Maybe Ferrer just figured his candidacy was toast, and decided to have some fun in the waning days of the campaign by producing the most offensive political commercial imaginable. It's actually a very similar comedic sensibility to that of Post cartoonist Sean Delonas, who produced the epic series of "Ferrer kisses Sharpton's ass" cartoons in the 2001 campaign.
Then again, doesn't Freddy remember the "Kill it, Kill it!" scandal, which all but won Bloomberg the election in '01?

Of course I live in Minnesota so I pay not attention to this sort of thing but from what I saw in passing it seemed like Bloomberg had a pretty comfortable lead. Whatever the case, the ad is hilarious. It sort of looks lije one of those Jib Jab guys. And what's with the A guy calling you BLOGGER?

Yeah what do u know, real live cowboys, not the ones you see on T.V. City slickers get off your butt and ride a horse sometime, go to an actual rodeo and ask some cowboys from the south especially what they think of homosexuality. They will probably tell you that if their beloved confederacy won their would still be hangings of those kind of people. Don't get me wrong I have a close friend who is gay. I have no problem with that. However, I am going to say that even the cowboys from the north or south have a legendary image. A cowboy is a independent man with a love of family and courage. He is not politically correct. I went to a rodeo once and they described the ideal cowboy and my God he wasn't gay either. Even if it is in the genes they would probably not retain to a culture which discourages homosexuality. Cowboys aren't gay that's just not the way things work and before anyone says otherwise I want to ask you how many cowboys do you know? And how many of them are gay? hmmm...Probably none. Also I want to know how many cowboy/rednecks are actually going to attend this film and back it...hmmm..probably next to none. If they are going to make a movie about two male lovers fine, but don't bash the cowboy culture. Don't try to make people look like something they are most definately not. Otherwise a bunch of people from the city who have no idea what being in the country is about will be like, "yeah I saw a movie once and the cowboys were gay so they are into that kinda thing right?" Then when they actually go up and say that to a real cowboy they will get their face smashed in. Isn't a shame that there were actually good movies with John Wayne and that had shootings and horseback riding in it? Now in 2000s we can't have a decent fight because it may offend a race, we can't have a black person play a servant we'd get sued and we can't have a cowboy that prays in church no no..Seperation of church and the movies remember? Oh yeah...No we have to have movies about gay cowboys. This politically correct crap makes me sick sometimes. It's ok to offend people who are against homosexuality but it's not ok to offend people who are a certain race or don't believe in God. hmmm...ok. So much for everyone being =.

loss for Best Picture at the Academy Awards. Instead of responding in anger web design,
members wanted to find a way to thank the cast and crew of the film and to find a way to highlight Brokeback Mountain's unprecedented string of Best Picture wins.
"I think most fans of the film were stunned by the Best Picture surprise, which raised the question of how and why the Academy could have been so out of sync with virtually every other organization that awarded Best Picture honors," site organizer Dave Cullen said in explaining why so many diverse people worldwide were donating to the campaign.
According to industry watchers, no movie has generated this sort of fan response after a loss for Best Picture online marketing. Fans are happy their support for "Brokeback Mountain" is becoming part of industry lore. They hope that others looking for a way to honor Brokeback Mountain as the Best Picture of 2005 will contribute to the campaign, so more ads can run to help raise awareness that the film garnered nearly every Best Picture award bestowed for 2005.
