Vote For Pedro

On Buster Olney's ESPN.com blog today, after Buster was discussing which MLB teams have had the longest relationships with specific radio stations, came a curious reminder from a familiar name:

If I am correct, WCCO has been broadcasting the Twins since their move to Minnesota, with Herb Carneal calling games for over 40 years.
-Pedro Munoz, Shoreview, Minn.
Could this be the same Pedro Munoz who was an outfielder for the Twins in the early '90s, reaching double figures in homers four years in a row before seemingly disappearing into thin air? I was such a Munoz booster that I used "Pedro" as my name in 9th grade Spanish class. I'll be curious to see whether he makes Gleeman's list of the Top 50 Twins.

And speaking of our subject: Ohio Attorney General Jim Petro is running for governor. Will he have "Vote For Petro" shirts made, or is he an idiot?

Herb Carneal has been calling Twins games since they were Senators!

One sad note... Dan Gladden now calls innings 4-6 of the Twins road games. These are the three worst play-by-play broadcast innings in all of baseball. Really a shame, because 1-3 and 7-9 with John Gordon I believe are the play-by-play in all of baseball.

Dazzle-man belongs in the color-commentary chair, not the broadcaster chair.
