The Series

Prior to last night, I knew Oliver Perez primarily as the pitcher who I traded for in my fantasy league last year, only to hear a few hours later that he'd broken his toe while kicking a laundry basket, and was out for the season. Last night, he pitched very well in Game 7 -despite being the worst pitcher ever to start a Game 7- but it wasn't enough, as the Cardinals won the NLCS and will face the Tigers in the World Series.

The Cards didn't look that bad in the NLCS, but as we all know, the NL is a minor league at this time. If they win a single game in the World Series, I'll be shocked.

Tigers in 4. If you want to crown them, just crown their ass.

The NL is embracing the "senior league" nickname in this series (minus Pudge and Rogers) and expect StL to be beat in every aspect of this series.

StL is who we thought they were, and we're not going to let them off the hook.

I hope you never want a career being a baseball pundit....but im shocked that the Cards won a game already. Maybe a week's rest wasn't such a good thing for thr Tiggers....

You sound like all the "baseball experts" who in the span of two weeks said the Tigers had no business being on the same field as the Yankees and than quickly changed their tune and said the Tigers were too good to be beaten. The Cardinals will prove the National League is not an inferior league.
