Laughing on the Right

I look at the idea of a right-wing "Daily Show" in this week's North Star column.

That was a well written article, but I don't agree with hardly a word of it. It's contradictory that you would write 'Witness such past attempts as Dennis Miller’s quickly-canceled CNBC talk show and Colin Quinn’s stint anchoring “Weekend Update” on “Saturday Night Live”,' considering Dennis Miller's stint as anchor on "Weekend Update" was one of the most popular elements of the show at the time.

But I agree that the idea probably won't take off, mostly because with the exception of self-labeled "South Park Conservatives," a lot of conservatives generally don't bother with that kind of television and when they do, "The Daily Show" is good enough. It'll only work if they get really, really kick ass writers.
