News Item: Country star Toby Keith announces opposition to war in Iraq
Though to be fair, Keith doesn't seem to know a whole lot about the situation over there, as he predicts the Kurds, who aren't even really a participant in the sectarian violence, will win. "I promise you, they'll end up with it all," Keith told Newsday.

Although Steve's comment that he doesn't seem to know anything about what is going on over there, this is more significant than you think.
Keith, if you recall wrote one of the more patriotic songs to come out of the wake of 9/11 and can be seen as a bellweather for the NASCAR crowd's attitudes toward the war.
Maybe not quite as significant as Kronkite's taking down of the American effort in Southeast Asia, but not insignificant.
