The Politics of "Knocked Up"

I look at "Knocked Up"'s position on "something that rhymes with schmashmortion," in my latest North Star column.

I for one, being pro-choice but anti-abortion, thought they handled it well. I saw a big theme going with this film, which was bad parental role models, not only from alison's sister and brother-in-law, who act like her parents but are a bad example of how to run a marriage, but from her mother, who actually indeed does tell her to "get rid of the baby", and Ben's father, who actually admonishes his own son for looking up to him. It was nice to see people do the responsible thing for once in a hollywood movie.
