Quote of the Day

FireJoeMorgan, on the idiocy of the "A-Rod can't win with the Yankees" argument:

"If he were not here, your team would be under .500. They would be a laughing stock. Jerry Crasnick and Buster Olney would be snatching up book deals that deal with the night George Steinbrenner murdered Gene Michael in a rage after Enrique Wilson hit into a game-ending 1-2-3-2 triple play to end a 1-0 loss to the Royals.

Never won here?! You people are boneheads. You are all boneheads. And when you and your ilk have driven ARod to Anaheim next year, and you can't get Miguel Cabrera, and suddenly you are relying on a bunch of 35 year-olds and Melky Cabrera for your offense, and your team sucks, don't come crying to me... I hate the Yankees. And all I do is defend their players against their own media and fans. What is wrong with this picture?"

In a just world, Ken Tremendous would have a column in a New York paper and a regular chair on "The Sports Reporters," while Mike Lupica would be writing a mildly popular sports blog.

Holy F that was the GREATEST post ever!! I can't, as a Sox fan, actually say I hope A-Fraud comes to the Sox next year, but everything that guy wrote is totally true. F the Yankees.
