That's my take on the current state of the presidential race; more lengthy thoughts can be found in this week's North Star column.
Here's more evidence of Hillary's pathetic desperation- they sent out pictures today letting everyone know that... Obama wore Somali garb! While in Somalia! This, to me, is even more ridiculous than the "second-class delegates" argument.
First off, I said it a millions times that the convention would be brokered, I just thought it would be with Edwards still in the race. Second, I think the primaries should all happen in a 2 month span at most. This way all of America gets to vote and have their votes matter instead of the disenfranchised stuff. And third, the Dems have somehow always managed to mess up, that's why I not registered in either party. If Hillary gets the nom, and with Nader now in the race, we may end up seeing Bloomberg throw his hat in. Prepare for Labor Day to be the start of a crazy presidential season.
