I really like this Ron Rosenbaum essay on how liberal guilt isn't quite so bad. But didn't Rosenbaum break with the left years ago?
Posted by Stephen Silver at May 26, 2008 08:38 PMRosenbaum is probably your quintessential liberal who was so appalled by left-wing loathing of Israel, as well as the rationalization of same as well as radical-Muslim violence and bigotry by some liberals, that he drifted rightward on these issues. I don't think he ever stopped being a liberal, and now that being either a neocon or liberal hawk is like being the political version of a mullet, it's easy to forget he had these feelings.
