Obviously, He Doesn't Support Israel

Obama, at AIPAC today:

Sen. Barack Obama vowed Wednesday that Jerusalem must "remain the capital of Israel, and it must remain undivided."

Sen. Barack Obama declared himself the presumptive Democratic nominee on Tuesday night.

"Any agreement with the Palestinian people must preserve Israel's identity as a Jewish state, with secure, recognized and defensible borders," the presumptive Democratic presidential nominee said at the annual conference of the American Israel Public Affairs Committee, an influential pro-Israel lobbying group.

"Jerusalem will remain the capital of Israel, and it must remain undivided," Obama said.

Why is it that on every other issue, we take the candidates at their word as to what they'll do and why they'll do it, but when it comes to this, so many believe Obama must have nefarious, hidden motives, which go against absolutely everything he's ever said on the subject?

UPDATE: On the e-mails:

“They’re filled with tall tales and dire warnings about a certain candidate for President. And all I want to say is – let me know if you see this guy named Barack Obama, because he sounds pretty frightening. But if anyone has been confused by these emails, I want you to know that today I’ll be speaking from my heart, and as a true friend of Israel.:

Does anyone really trust Obama? He will say anything to get elected. Look at his "friends". A bunch of racist and recently convicted lobbist. Yes who channeled Iraq oil money to Obama. This speaks volumns. Obama quits his church when a white priest insults someone not when the Afican American minister does. He is for no one but his own people, "oppressed black Americans". Good luck if you are not part of his extremist leftist incrowd. Who most likely believe the root of the middle east problem lies in our unconditional support of Isreal.
