The single dumbest marketing move in the history of professional wrestling was Eric Bischoff having Tony Schiavone tell everyone watching Nitro that Mankind was going to win the title that night.

"Hey, if you were wondering, our competition is going to have a great match with a historic feel-good ending involving one of the most beloved characters in wrestling history. Or you could stick with us and watch Kevin Nash and Hulk Hogan half-ass their way through something."

Stunned that didn't work out for them. Really I am.
