SALISBURY SUCKS, CONT'D: The New

SALISBURY SUCKS, CONT'D: The New York Post's Phil Mushnick may be an I-hate-everything bloviator, but like a broken clock he's right twice a day. In Monday's column he was right about both Jeffrey Lurie's dumb anti-Limbaugh comments, and the continued ramblings of ESPN "expert NFL analyst" Sean Salisbury, who seems to take up about 20 minutes of each SportsCenter with his hostile, condescending bleatings, nearly all of which are backed up with his "I played the game, you didn't" sneer.
But what Salisbury never mentions is that he was an even worse quarterback than he is a commentator. Indeed, of the 11 men who took snaps at QB for the Vikings in the '90s, I'd rank Salisbury tied for last, with Heisman-winning bust Gino Toretta. Among those beating out Sean are a past-his-prime ex-Bear (Jim McMahon); a before-his-prime Jew (Jay Fiedler); both of last year's Super Bowl QBs (Rich Gannon, Brad Johnson), three black guys who are not overrated by the media (Warren Moon, Randall Cunningham, Daunte Culpepper); and one guy who is, believe it or not, an even bigger asshole than Salisbury (Jeff George).

What is the problem with you haters?!!!
Do you not remember everything that Sean did before he was duped by th coach and not allowed to finish his stardom? What a bunch of freak/haters

I personally detest Sean Salisbury. Complete jerk.

A quick review of those who write negative comments about Sean Salisbury are to be commended. It takes a lot to get them off their comfortable couch to their computer. Usually they head for the kitchen to grab a beer, belch and grab a pack of smokes and head back to the couch. Get a life Tony and friends. Your knowledge of football comes from the TV not from playing.

I play college football and I hate Sean Salisbury as well. He is an "NFL elitist" who thinks that he knows everything. Some of the things he says is borderline idiotic and he is plainly an asshole. He reminds of some kids I played high school football with who picked on kids just for fun. i.e. Salisbury vs Clayton. If I were a player who were getting bashed by Salisbury I would call up and ask him how his NFL career went. One of the cardinal rules in sports is to not criticize others when you dont do your own.

Sean Salisbury really does blow, yesterday he's on the air stating the Chicago Bears will lose 2 of the last 6 games left giving them them 10 wins on the season and they are currently 7-3. HEY DUMBASS 7 + 4 is NOT 10. YES he's actually on the air!! DOH!!!

I just wish there a dvd on the market showing the career "highlights" of Sean. Even better would be the "highlights" of Sean on ESPN and the abuse he received while he was "playing". Is he better than you and me, yes, but is he a hall of famer who can actually say, I did that better, no. ESPN has some true analysts who played the game as true elite players: Ditka, Young and Irvin (despite his off the field problems). Why they employ this arrogant, bullyish jerk totally escapes me...
