WARREN ZEVON, 1947-2003: Singer/songwriter Warren

WARREN ZEVON, 1947-2003: Singer/songwriter Warren Zevon died Sunday at the age of 56. Diagnosed with cancer nearly 18 months ago and given just three months to live, Zevon outlasted all expectations by far, even finishing his final album, "The Wind," which was released last month.
I don't pretend to be super-familiar with Zevon's music over the years, but I do know I'll be going out later today and buying "The Wind," and also that Zevon's most popular song, "Werewolves of London," has been played at every Minnesota Timberwolves home game that I've ever been to.
