What Would Klosterman Say?

What can law enforcement do to draw out criminals? Well, it helps if they all like Ozzy Osbourne. A sheriff in the Fargo area came up with that plan when Ozzy recently visited, sending out invitations to a bogus "VIP party" to 36 local people with outstanding arrest warrants. And it seems to have worked:

Thinking they had won concert tickets compliments of "PDL Productions," the unsuspecting fans actually got a free trip to jail from Cass County Sheriff Paul Laney. The arrests were for such violations as ignoring court summons and failing to pay child support, including two warrants from Minnesota. The department went so far as to print up fake "I Crashed the Bash" T-shirts and offered a free souvenir photo -- a booking photo.
Ozzy, however, was not amused, issuing a statement condemning the sheriff. Somewhat miraculously, not a single word of the statement was bleeped out.
